The Crocodile Monitor, also called Salvadori's Monitor, is one of the world's largest lizards, reaching 8 feet (2.5 metres) in length. It is said that, because of the long thin tail, individual specimens have exceeded the length of the larger, heavier Komodo Dragon at 10 feet (3 metres).
