The "Greek Tortoise" is a different species (also called the Spur-thighed), hardly found in Greece. The Marginated is an oblong-shaped tortoise with a slight "waist" in the middle of the shell. The young tortoises are more strongly marked than older individuals. They can live for well over 100 years.
