The Ruby Tiger is a pretty red-brown moth often found flying in midday sun as well as at night

Its mane is like that of a bison

The underside can look brown or red (different individuals)

The Ruby Tiger is prettiest when showing its amazing ruby-red upper body with black spots which, when its wings lay flat, can look like black stripes and give it its name.
