Dingy Footman moth Dingy Footman moth

The Dingy Footman, Eilema griseola, looks a little similar to the Common Footman but has much rounder wings held in a wider shape.

There is also a lighter, plainer form without the grey.

 
Scarce Footman moth

                     Scarce Footman moth , Eilema complana, has an orange head/border and tighter wings.

The Orange Footman, Eilema soroscula, is a little wider than the Common Footman and, as its name indicates, has an all-over pale orange colour
