The Raccoon, also spelled Racoon, is from North and Central America. There are also feral Raccoon populations in mainland Europe. It is more active by night than by day. Coat can vary between grey, black and brown. It used to be thought to be related to dogs, badgers or bears. Closest relatives are Ringtails and Coatis.
