These Mink are native to North America but escapees from fur farms have colonised Britain and are dangerously threatening the native Water Vole population and wild bird breeding sanctuaries

(Do not confuse with the rare European Mink of Eastern Europe/Russia which is not feral in Britain, is smaller, lighter-coloured, less aggressive and is itself endangered)
