The Fallow Deer is a medium-sized spotted deer. The buck (male), like almost all true deer, re-grows its antlers each year.

Buck, doe (female) and fawn (young) are spotted, although pale and dark monotones also appear (see photos above and below).

Unlike the Red Deer and Roe Deer, the Fallow Deer is not native to Britain. It was introduced from Europe by the Normans for hunting.
