Visayan Warty Pig
The Visayan Warty Pig used to be native to all six Philippine islands of Visayan but is now found only on two. It has a light band on its snout and cheeks.
A forest-dwelling wild pig, they are critically endangered due to hunting and habitat loss.
The males have warty cushions on their snout to reduce the impact of other males' tusks when fighting, hence the name Warty Pig.
Males also have a Mohican mane that can be raised to make them look bigger.
