The Box Bug is a Squashbug, related to the more common Dock Bug which it resembles, but is more long and slender and has light stripes on its "skirt."
Associated with box trees and previously limited to Box Hill in Surrey, it is now found over much of the southern/middle England and feeds on a variety of other trees/bushes.

Its scientific name of Harry Potter Latin "acuteangulatus" indicates its narrowness -- although that may refer to its triangular shield or even its shoulders.
