The painted lady is a summer migrant to UK from North Africa/Mediterranean and Asia; the one on the left fairly fresh and on the right faded and worn.

Since the Painted Lady is a migrant from North Africa, unsurprisingly the Painted Lady on Tenerife has no apparent differences from that in the UK
