The Wreathed Hornbill is native to north-eastern India through to Southeast Asia. It is also called the Bar-pouched Wreathed Hornbill: the dark line on the yellow throat pouch of male and female distinguish them from the similar Plain-pouched Hornbill which doesn't have the grey bar. The ridges on the bill increase over the bird's lifetime but are not indicative of the bird's age.

The male, above, has a light blond head and chest with a brown nape (back of head and neck). I have photos of the male somewhere and will put them up when I find them.
