Green Aracari

Pteroglossus viridis

There is a greenish sheen to the black wings of the male (top right) Green Aracari and the female has dark green or khaki wings (top left). He has a black head and she a chesnut brown head (one of the smallest Toucan species, it is unusual for male and female Toucans to show different plumage).  They both have pale yellow fronts, a yellow and red top bill and orange rumps.
They come from northeastern South America (Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Surinam).
