This falcon is a hybrid of a Saker Falcon and a Lanner Falcon. While it is similar to a Saker in every other aspect, it has a different, barred feather pattern.

A similar variation of feather type from the usual single colour with light border to this barred/chevron pattern occurs with the Lanner Falcon, but in grey instead of brown.
