Pleasing Lorikeets are from Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, where they are critically endangered. Unusually for lorikeets, male and female have different plumage.
Also called the Red-flanked Lorikeet, only the male (right) has a red flank and also a red face with blue cheeks. The female (left) has a green face and yellow cheeks.
