The Chattering Lory, Lorius garrulus, comes from North Maluku, Indonesia. As its name indicates, it is vocal. There are three subspecies: the nominate species above is red with green wings and thighs, yellow at the top of the wing and a fully red back or sometimes just a tiny yellow spot on the upper back.
The undertail has yellow with red.
