The Scarlet Macaw has a scarlet head and outer tail and a yellow band between the red and blue colours of its wings (unlike the Green-winged Macaw which has a green band).
It has a bare white face (also unlike the Green-winged which has small feathers on its face). The "Ruby" Macaw is a hybrid between the Green-winged and Scarlet.

The Scarlet Macaw, like all other macaws, comes from South America. Its Latin name gives us the word "macaw".
