The Pale-headed Lorikeet is a "Rainbow" lorikeet from New Guinea. It has a full bright blue head over black under-feathers, a greenish-yellow nape, orangey-red breast with some dark feather edges, black stomach and mottled green and yellow thighs. It is sometimes included with the related Dark-/Black- throated Lorikeet T. h. nigrogularis). |
