Dusky Lory Dusky Lory

The Dusky Lory, from Papua New Guinea and Indonesia, has orange (above left) and yellow (right) forms. Parents of either form can produce young of the other.

It is endangered in its native territories.

 Male and female have similar plumage. The adult Dusky Lory has a white or cream mid-back (orange form above) and orange beak.
