Lear's Macaw (named after poet/author/illustrator Edward Lear), also called the Indigo Macaw is the second rarest Macaw in the wild. It looks similar to the better known Hyacinth Macaw, but is smaller and a less bright blue colour -- more grey-blue on the head and indigo on the body; the yellow patch by its beak is also much paler and a different shape. It comes from Bahia, Brazil.
