The Black-necked Stork, with its beautiful iridescent head, neck and back plumage, is native to southern Asia and Australasia.
The Saddle-billed Stork comes from sub-Saharan Africa.
Related to the Black-necked Stork of Asia (above), it has black legs with prominent pink knees
and a yellow and red "saddle" on its bill.
Male and female have similar plumage and "saddles" but the female, centre, has yellow irises rather than brown.
