Curlew
Curlew
The Curlew, also called the Eurasian Curlew to distinguish from other global curlew species, breeds across most of Eurasia where there is mud and water and winters in coastal areas of Africa and southern/south-eastern Asia. It is larger than the similar-looking Whimbrel, with a longer, down-curved bill and no central "parting."
