| The Green Sandpiper isn't green but has a darkish brown head, neck and wings speckled with small white spots and a white undercarriage. The beak and legs are said to be greenish. | ||

It breeds in northern Eurasia and
winters in southern Eurasia/Africa. It is closely related to the Solitary Sandpiper but not to other Sandpipers. |
