The American Flamingo, also known as the Caribbean Flamingo, is native to the Caribbean and the Galapagos Islands. A large flamingo closely related to the Greater Flamingo, it can be distinguished by its strongly orange-coloured head and neck plumage, tricolor bill with orange middle section and grey legs, sometimes with pink knees. |
