The Ringed Teal is a pretty duck from South America. Males have a dark partial ring around the neck that give the species name. They also have a black-spotted pink breast, teal-green and red-chestnut on the wings, a delicate grey body and white windows on black at side and rump in addition to a blue-grey bill and pink feet. |
