The Lilac-breasted Roller, with beautiful
lilac, turquoise, royal blue and cinnamon plumage, comes from
sub-Saharan Africa (mainly eastern/southern) and southern Arabia. Accomplished flyers, the Roller group of birds are named after the aerial rolls and swoops they make in courtship. |
