Blue-breasted Quail Asian Blue Quail
The tiny Blue-breasted Quail is also called the Asian Blue, the Chinese, the Painted, the Chinese Painted and the King Quail. So many names for such a small bird. It is the smallest true quail. Several sub-species come from India, southern China, much of southeast Asia and eastern Australia. The male, above, has strong black facial lines on white and a blue-grey breast.
