The BLACK-WINGED GROUND DOVE, Metriopelia melanoptera, comes from South America. Male and female have similar plumage.

Zebra Dove Zebra Dove Barred Ground Dove
The ZEBRA DOVE, also called the BARRED GROUND DOVE, Geopelia striata, is a small dove from Southeast Asia and is closely related to the similar-looking Peaceful Dove of Australia/New Guinea and Indonesia's Barred Dove. It is not closely related to the heavy Ground Doves (Gallicolumba species) of the area. Male and female have similar barred/striped plumage.
 
   
Sulawesi Ground Dove Sulawesi Ground Dove Sulawesi Ground Dove
The SULAWESI GROUND DOVE, Gallicolumba tristigmata, also called the YELLOW-BREASTED, comes from Indonesia. It has a gold brow, blue crown and burgundy red neck markings.
Previously called the Celebes Ground Dove, the bird's name was changed when the islands' name changed to Sulawesi. Male and female have similar plumage, female very slightly duller.
   
   
Golden-heart Ground Dove Golden-heart Dove  
The GOLDEN-HEART DOVE also called the CINNAMON GROUND DOVE, Gallicolumba rufigula, comes from Indonesia's West Papua and from Papua New Guinea.
Male and female have similar plumage. Like most Pacific heavy Ground Doves, they are also sometimes called Pigeons.
  
   
White-breasted Ground Dove White-bibbed Ground Dove Purple Ground Dove
The WHITE-BIBBED/WHITE-BREASTED GROUND DOVE, Gallicolumba jobiensis, also sometimes called the PURPLE Ground Dove, comes from Indonesia, Papua new Guinea and nearby islands.
It has a rich red-purple wing plumage, a charcoal grey head with white eye-line and a white bib. Typically the female has a slightly less rich colour and slightly smaller bib than the male.
