The Asian Fairy Bluebird is one of two birds in genus Irena. Blackbird-sized, it is found in parts of South and Southeast Asia including the Philippines (which also has the Philippine Fairy Bluebird).
The male and female have different plumage. The male, above, is black with a thick, light blue line from brow to nape, light blue back, rump, vent, upper wings and upper tail. He has red irises.
