Previously thought to be a sub-species of the Common Chiffchaff, the Canary Islands Chiffchaff has been declared a separate species on the basis of DNA analysis; also different sounds and smaller with shorter, rounder wings. Unlike the Common Chiffchaff, it is non-migratory. |
